While you were bombing...

We were out shopping today, and after finishing purchases that could only be made in specific stores, we had a choice for the clothing. Should we go for everyday things at the Central Bus Station or Shabbat clothing at the Azrieli mall?

Well, I wanted a beauty shot of my sock in progress, so I made everyone go with me to the boardwalk, from where it would be most logical to continue to Azrieli.

That picture may have saved my family's life; if I hadn't realized I didn't have an Israeli sock picture and really want a beach shot, we would have been crossing the old Central Bus Station area when the bomber was committing his murders.

I don't exactly know if it's good to express *gladness* at a time like this, but I'm glad you and your family are safe. Devastated at yet more loss of life, but glad yours were spared.

Well I'll say it... thank goodness you and your family are ok! And I am glad to see that knitting saved your life! (That's one special sock!)

Yes, keep the sock and bring it out next passover as a reminder of how you were saved by a seemingly insignificant act.

I and some friends were saved from being at the Beit el junction a number of years ago when it was shot up and David Boim was murdered, because a friend wanted to go to the store in Beit El, so we went into the yishuv, rather than back out after filling the car with gas. That was barely 2 months after I was injured in a different terror attack.

My heart goes out to the families of the dead and those who were injured. I am happy to hear you and your family were not among them.
