Snow kidding

The country was on high weather alert yesterday. Big storm coming--batten down the hatches. Snow! For a country that gets snow maybe once a year, it was big news. Well, there were flakes here and there, and it started snowing again when I went to sleep, so I grabbed the camera first thing in the morning, opened the front door, and found this:

Who says Israel can't make a real big something out of nothing?

What struck me immediately from the photos was the lack of large trees. Granted that the pics aren't a full panorama. Its fun that this much snow causes a commotion - here in Ohio all it gets is a query from the kids along the lines of "Do you think we'll get a snow day?" (its a joke) - but at the moment they aren't in session anyway.

Also gave me a chuckle to see the WeatherPixie with an xmas tree - which is what Pixies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and any other place in the world are standing next to at the moment.

It's more snow than we've got here in Pennsylvania....I'm jealous!! I would love to see a good 8-10 inches!

I'm jealous. We've had no snow or hope of snow yet. Hopefully, we'll have a bit for the girls to play in. :)

When I was growing up in NY, we didn't take pictures of every snowflake, but here...
