On Wednesday we went miniature golfing.



Today we went to Miami. First we stopped at the beach at Lake Worth



and then went to the Old Navy Outlet in Miami. Look who's wearing jeans!

On Monday we went to the driving range.


Of course there are no pictures of Mama hitting the ball.

In the afternoon we went to Jo Ann Fabrics and bought supplies.

Started work on a hat/cowl for the Greentree project. B finally called the local sheep growers--they just dumped the fleeces. :-( They've told us where the fleeces are, though, so I'll go next week and see if there's anything there to play with.

Still have to weave in the ends on S's vest--she decided that she wanted the 8" cowl after all. Been going crazy on Ebay -- bought a bunch of Spin-Offs, some cotton, some cotton seeds, some Althea (hollyhock) seeds, an inkle loom. At this rate, I'll have no room left for purchases when I get to the States! Dyed some more rolags for T's felted bag--two each in Lemonade and Orange. I love KoolAid!

Finishing time! No, not just finals (the kids', not mine). I've finished several major projects at work, S finished the pillow top she was working on, I've finished S's vest for next year (aside from the seams and sewing in ends--I'll crochet the seams so if she outgrows it, I can add panels in under the arms. I finished my Spin-Off skein and sent that in. B finished off the Torah that's been sitting at the client's for a year and tomorrow is the dedication--right in the middle of a big protest march. Oh, joy...

No real fiber activity. :-( Yesterday was PTA day . Did a little SIP on the tzitziot and finished off one ply (I hope). Today started the next ply while S was at the orthodontist, and probably will do some more tonight when we take S to next year's high school for a gibushon and then B goes to a client to do some quick work. I think people like my little lacewood Spindizzie as much as they like watching me do something "strange".

Wednesday was the world' shleppiest day (TM). B went to buy parchment, I returned the wheelchair Mom borrowed from Ezer MiTzion. Did some shopping--bought stone donuts to make spindles. Had an idea for a supported toothpick spindle, but upon exectution it was so light that I could only get backspin. Got two carryons for all our upcoming trips to America. Got dowels for the stone donuts. Taught an Excell tutorial. Went to the gym. Went grocery shopping. Got home at 11 pm, exhausted, so no fiber pursuits that day.


Yesterday I combed some of my found fiber, put together a spindle using the larger of the donuts, a chopstick, and a hook from B's toolkit, and spun a little while T had a bunch of friends over to watch Harry Potter 1.


I think I'll just do some more combing and carding today and leave the dyeing for next week. Have to work on S's vest and emptying my distaffs so that when the Tunis I'm being sent for the Spin-Off skein challenge on the Spindlers list.

With the help of the Spindlitis group, I washed some fleece that I found lying out by the grocery yesterday.
